Mount Diablo Unified School District would like to thank the Lamorinda Foundation (LAMA) for their generous $10,000 donation to Prospect High School. The Lamorinda Foundation, is derived from Lamorinda (the intersection of Lafayette, Moraga and Orinda).

The foundation is a group of successful professionals who want to give back to their community and make a difference. Their generous donation will be used to purchase technology for our at risk youth program so that students will be trained and prepared to be competitive both academically and professionally for their next steps in college and career.

Many of our students are homeless, have struggled with poverty, substance abuse, depression, or have had to face adversity and need additional support to be successful. This donation will give these students an opportunity to overcome these challenges and make them more competitive as they enter the workforce.

Thank you LAMA for supporting our community, our young people, and our future workforce!

Heather Morelli, Principal

Our students need chrome books to enhance learning through group projects and learning opportunities, interactive science labs, and technology-based stations.  Students also benefit greatly from use of Khan Academy to provide supplemental lessons.
